DECOMMISSIONING
Fall DecommissioningÂ
Please follow the steps below to make sure your boat is ready for the winter season. Don’t delay, arrival dates and off-season service fill up faster than you might think. Contact us if you have any questions.
1. Storage Reservation
The first step of the Fall Decommissioning process is your winter storage reservation. If you haven’t completed your storage reservation yet, please contact our Storage Department to do so. Click here to learn more about winter storage at Larsen Marine.
2. Decommissioning Form
Use our online Decommissioning Form to request winterization services and off-season repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. If you require any assistance completing the form, give us a call at 847-336-5456 and we’ll help you through the process. Click here to start the Decommissioning Form.
3. Schedule Arrival
Immediately after completing your Decommissioning Form, you will be prompted to schedule your arrival date. If you have a preferred date in mind, don’t delay. Our arrival schedule always fills up fast. We are offering rewards to the first 100 people to haul out before September 23, click here to learn more.
If you need to reschedule your arrival date, you may do so by contacting our Service Department at 847-336-5456 at least 24 hours prior to your original arrival date. We cannot guarantee immediate space if you reschedule, but we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
4. Arrival
For your convenience, you may arrive at any time between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. You should plan ahead for weather, and we urge you to take advantage of the discounted transient rate at Waukegan Harbor to ensure you arrive on your scheduled arrival date.
Please note, we require that you have at least 4 proper-length dock lines and 4 fenders aboard your vessel upon arrival. Unscheduled arrivals or arrivals without written confirmation from Larsen Marine are subject to a $500 boat handling fee or you will be asked to seek a transient slip at Waukegan Harbor.
