Soda Blasting

This is an environmentally safe and ‘hull safe’ method used to quickly strip heavy, accumulated layers of bottom paint from your hull. Unlike sand, professional soda blasting won’t harm your hull. After many years of bottom paint applications, you may need to remove all the old paint from your hull. Soda blasting is the efficient first step in bottom paint removal and re-coating.

Annual Service Recommended by Mercruiser, OMC, and Volvo

Fishermen who do a lot of trolling with their boats need to do annual service maintenance on their stern drive units to protect the drive shaft.

When trolling at low speeds, the engine does not run smoothly, causing a backlash between the drive shaft spline and the engine coupling. Over time, this causes grease to turn to powder. The two parts can lock together and make removal of the stern drive unit very difficult. To help prevent this, we recommend an annual greasing of the drive shaft.

The labor and parts to remove the stern drive, clean and grease the splines, inspect and grease the U-joints, check the alignment and reinstall the outdrive is $210.*

Realignment and U-joint service, if necessary, is additional.
